How does divorce affect your productivity?

The 'good' on the horizon looks too far away to reach and you don't know if you're coming or going, going right or left, saying yes or no.  Divorce can rob you of what used to make sense and make you say things that you never thought you would ever say, "I wish he/she was dead", "I wish I had never had kids with this person".  These are just some of the thoughts that can play out in your mind during divorce and this is what divorce can do to someone who once had a kind heart and a clear mind.  Imagine these thoughts and more on a daily basis taking up every waking moment for sometimes as long as the divorce has long since passed.

Divorce can eat you alive if you allow it and can wander into your working life, your social life and relationship with your children if you have any.  Because it becomes such a force in your life it dominates your thinking and everything then relates to the divorce.  You have to remember though, that divorce is just the end of one unhealthy relationship and the choice is yours as to how you proceed from there.  It's important early on in the divorce process to seek the help you need through coaching so that you can put your focus and attention on what is important, your health, your family and your life.  Once you are able to do that then the plan of action with the divorce becomes easier without the emotional attachment and your productivity will increase in all aspects of your life.
